Free, virtual AIS SIGED Community|Workshop:
How to Teach Cloud Computing
September 13 @ 14:00 CET (Live online)
Many academic programs want to offer courses and lessons on cloud computing but are uncertain about how to begin. This workshop will feature three learning opportunities related to cloud computing pedagogy.
- A discussion of how cloud computing is being taught by workshop attendees, including the facilitator’s experience with creating three courses at a subject university using AWS and Azure and how those courses have evolved over seven years.
- An overview of the AWS Academy offerings including free AWS student accounts and how to become an AWS Academy accredited instructor.
- Lastly, attendees will have the opportunity to complete the equivalent of a student lab using AWS. The facilitator’s course materials will be offered to workshop participants.
Facilitator: Dr. Degan J Kettles, Information Systems, Brigham Young University, Provo, Utah, United States
